this was an esrc impact acceleration account project in partnership with the south yorkshire mayoral combined authority and mott macdonald. we were looking at long-term public transport planning in the city region using models that formulate cities as geographically embedded networks of individual interactions dependent on the population’s skills and education levels and constrained by their mobility infrastructure. if you have been project surfing here, you notice that this is a follow up to the productivity premium project!
